The obligatory “too soon to panic” quote

From general manager Ed Wade: “I don’t have a panic button, and anybody that starts looking for those things at this stage of the season really hasn’t paid attention to the ups and downs this game presents every season.”

Probably reasonable, although it’s not like Ed Wade has this huge history of success to draw on. You wouldn’t be worried if they were 4-6, really, because 4-6 is 1 game short of .500, and with 37 runs scored and 44 allowed, you’d expect to be 4-6. And you’ve played 7 road games against two of last year’s playoff teams.

The word you’re looking for is concern.
