You don’t really pick your team, of course. I follow the Astros because I moved to Houston, along with much of the rest of the free world, when I was 9. Missed being a Cardinals fan by … that much.
And so you don’t pick your division, which in my case is the NL Central, which everyone thinks right now is boring. And everyone is generally right. The Brewers are interesting, the Cubs may actually be pretty good, the Astros and Cardinals are fading, and nobody cares about the Reds or Pirates because it’s been so long since they were good.
Things will change. But it still stings a little when ESPN’s Karl Ravech has five or six questions about the other five divisions and only two about the NL Central.
